High-rise gated community project, Hyderabad, India
Space Station is a high-raisedgated community spreading over an area of 20 acres. Aliens Group has commissioned internationally renowned architectural firm, SMC Alsop, London. I was entrustedwith the responsibility of co-ordinating with the Alsop, by way of taking an active part from the stage of concept development to execution drawings.

Concept:
The site is blessed witha natural lake along the longer side of the site. Hence, the design has been madein 's-shape' to provide lake-view to maximum number of units. This shape also facilitates two bigger pockets to be landscaped so that every unit has something of interest to view.
Three of the amenities providedare club-house, sports complex and commercial complex. These are open even to outsiders membership wise. So, these amenities are to be positioned in a way that the residents of the community should not face any inconvenience and disturbance, when the outsiders commute in and out of the community. The clubhouse, which can be accessed from the existing internal road between the lake and the site, is positioned in juxtaposition to the lake. This position of the club-house makes the lake an integral part of the clubhouse.
